Join the Fight for Freedom 1807 - 2007. Follow in the footsteps of Hull's most famous son, William Wilberforce and add your support to the Fight for Freedom Campaign.

Pupils from primary schools across the city are being asked to get as many signatures as they can for the Wilberforce petition and in the process have the chance to win themselves a personal laptop and a whole IT suite for their school. The competition is being run in partnership with KCFM 99.8 and Cobus Communications.

If you are supporting a young person taking part or are collecting signatures yourself then please download the petition form below. Please don’t fill in the online petition form as your signature will not be counted as part of the competition.

I urge governments and international bodies to work together to better understand the Transatlantic Slave Trade, address its impact on countries and communities around the world, and work to end slavery for all time.
