Holy Trinity Church has been a place of Worship for more than 700 years and has strong links with William Wilberforce. The font where Wilberforce was baptised still stands in Holy Trinity and is one of many fascinating features of the church which is not only England’s largest parish church but also an architectural tourist attraction steeped in history.

Walking with Wilberforce Trail website

This new trail in Hull’s Old Town explores the city familiar to William Wilberforce and tells stories of women and men whose lives have been an inspiration to others – past and present. The Trail route is marked by attractive community-designed ceramic markers. It also links the museums in this historic area of Hull.
Trail guides are free and available at Hull’s tourist sites and from the website.
From Spring 2008 a free audio commentary will be available.
The walk is family friendly, accessible and can satisfy a wide range of interests. Led walks can be arranged.
