Walking With Wilberforce Exhibition

Bring the family to see an exhibition of the sights, sounds and stories of the Wilberforce Trail.

The launch event will take place on Sunday 9 September when there will be performances by the Bora Shabaa Choir, Breaking the Chains – a play created in Hull and a dance display by P.R.A.D.A starting at 2pm.

The focus of the exhibition, which runs until September 23, is the stories and places that are the inspiration behind the trail, how the ceramic markers were created, the inheritance of slavery in the 21st Century and what inspires us to act against slavery now.

There will be a drama weekend with special activities with performers from Spin-off Productions on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 September.

The following weekend will see Andinkra printing and salt-dough crafts and stories and puppets from African Folk Tales September 22 and 23.

The Saturday events will run from 10.30-12.30 and 1.30-3.30 and Sunday will run from 1.30-3.30. Places will be limited for each family event so come early.
